Numbers today

3:    Sleeping babies.

150:  Dollars gaspingly easily spent at Costco to feed my growing family.

27:    Pages read to Emmy from Little House in the Big Woods.

1:   Pages read to me from Mansfield Park.

1:    Kitchen floor in desperate need of a mopping.

6:    Loads of laundry folded.

3:    Dear sweet girlfriends who invite me over and fill me with womanly conversation.

11:   Kids who distract from but somehow add to the womanly conversation.

26:   Outlets in the basement to be wired.

1:   Year of food storage precariously stacked on the stairs.

5:    Kid-mobiles on the grass getting rained on.

10:   Toenails in need of a pedicure.

1:   Piano which has turned from black to dust-black.

4:   Windows open letting in a little rain-mist.

1:   Husband working hard to provide.

10:   Tired but joyfully content fingers typing this tonight.
