Christmas Jolly-ness

I may have said this before, but our town has an above average public library. They recently hired a new sweetie pie Grandma for their children's librarian to replace the semi-friendly young one they did  have, and that pretty much topped it off.
We go to the "story hour" every week, which includes a whole lot of singing and the occasional war whoop and dancing and wiggling and overall silliness.

This year's Christmas party had to be moved to the local Rec Center, because we're a little too crazy for the library!
First stop, turn yourself into a Reindeer.
Check.

Second stop, listen to a funny story read by our favorite Miss Sally (Rudolph) about Santa's reindeer saving the day.

Claire was much too comfortable reclining on my lap to be bothered with a book.

Then it was time to get Santa's reindeer in shape! All 100ish kids were running around this track with antlers and bells and the works, Man. It was sweetness!

Doesn't it look like Claire's running super fast in this photo?
She wasn't. Zachary, who brought Leland, and I were walking slowly along in front of her, urging her on as she moseyed. The kids would run ahead, hide so they could scare us, get tired of waiting for us to come, and run back. Then do it again.

Around the other side of the track there was a special guy to give them all a High Five!

Then there was a game rotation, but we were pretty stuck at this station. Who wants to leave a giant parachute?

Emmy informed Santa that she wanted a Princess Castle.

Jonah informed Santa that he wanted a Boy Castle.

I think having an older sister fits in the same category as brain washing.
