Why is there a queen sized mattress in the hallway?
Why is Jonah carrying a board that is much longer than him into his bedroom?
What is this growing pile of wood in front of the closet?
Ta-Da!! Super Sweet Thrift Store Find #457: Bunk Beds!
This house is the most wonderful place we have ever lived and we're in denial that we have outgrown it. We're getting creative with our space. And really, what could be more fun than bunk beds for saving space?
Jonah got his plastic tools out and they went right to work.
Until the mattress went on top, then she was back in the action! We thought the ladder would be a little scary for her, but apparently we thought wrong.
Kate dropped by as we were finishing up, and they spent the next HOUR throwing stuffed animals at each other.
Look at all the storage space underneath there! And they were both thrilled to go to bed. And Jonah didn't fall out in the middle of the night.
What's not to love?

Just found the link to your blog from your facebook page. Glad to have another blog to keep tabs on :)
There are so many things that I love about this post- thrift store finds, bunk beds, reading, putting furniture together, kids being excited about beds...
I fully intend to have a bunk bed with a trundle bed under the bottom some day. I'm all for crammingthemallin the smallest space possible. Wait, do they make triple bunk beds... Hmmm...
Pretty much the best hour of my LIFE. Is there anything more fun that throwing stuffed animals at each other, getting the munchkins all riled up and then leaving ;-) Tehe.
And Diana, yes. If you know a Kepsel then you have access to a triple bunk bed. Our Dad built one for the boys when they were little. It was pretty much amazing.
Love it. And don't think we won't all find ways to keep you around here as long as possible... I'll dig a pit in the yard for your food storage if it means you won't have to move away to get into a bigger place!
